RAPE !!!

You sit in front of your hacked computer and feel as if you were raped. You look at your company's web server which was just defaced or broken into and you want to throw up. You find out that a list of your most precious customers was stolen and you want to kill somebody.

The best you can do is sit and cry.

You collect yourself and call on the consultants and the vendors.
They all have all the sympathy for you and your business and all the best excuses to explain why their best advice and products did not prevent this havoc.

You call the forensic people to find out how it happened. Their price offer is dear and still they say ,after many costly hours of work, that you do not have enough logs to be able to pinpoint the "hole".

So here we are again - crying.

You know that next month you are about to launch a new service. A service that will take your company to higher grounds. A service that will make the industry "whoosh..." at your creativity and guts.

But your hands are tied. You now know that the rape and the ripoff is around the corner. You were fooled by the consultants, the regulators and the vendors.
What are you supposed to do ? even your small military experience cannot help here.
