A Good Word About Microsoft Vista

You "Next" it as usual...
Suddenly, the screen goes dark and a message window pops.
All functionality is disabled on your computer.
The message in the pop-up window is very clear and detailed. You are warned that a new program is about to be installed. You are asked specifically to approve the action. If you wish you can click the Help button and a very comprehensive explanation appears. An explanation in simple and clear words. no Hi-Tech technical talk and no legal blurb . just plain and simple, almost friendly, advice.
Ladies and Gentlemen I'd like to introduce Microsoft Vista !!!
This process also prevents the installation of all other worms, Trojans, add-ons and other malicious stuff that the bad guys are trying to plant at our workstations.
Yes..!! Finally, the end user gains some control of his/hers digital life....
Bravo Microsoft !!!!!
Browsing through Vista you will find other nice, extremely simple, safe measures that are taken to help the naive end users contain the devil inside their workstations.

Was it that hard to implement ?
Are these features new patents or inventions ?
Did it really take several billion$ to develop ?
NO ! NO !! No !!!
These features could have been introduced easily several years ago....
So Why ???? Why haven't they done it before ?
The naive end users have been suffering for almost a decade. The enterprises spent billions to prevent a collapse of their infrastructure.
Probably the Microsoft Corporation had other road maps to follow.
Why did they do it now ?
They did it now because they realized the rope was too tight...and that they were about to loose their business otherwise.
So.. Who is to blame ? Microsoft ? Not at all.
We, the end users, the SMB's and the CIO of the enterprises are to blame. Because for 10 years we let them get away with it.
If a flaw is found in a car the manufacturer recalls it and fixes the flaw. They fix it not only because their lawyers tel them to but also they want to keep their good name. They know that people will not buy cars from a sloppy car maker.
I can go on with plenty of examples (you probably have some in your mind right now...)
Well... The real blame is on the CIO's, CTO's, Architects, Consultants and other Hi rank officers of the big enterprises who make the deals and decisions that means billion$ for Microsoft.
They chose to keep quiet.
Maybe because no IT manager ever got fired for using Microsoft products...
I wonder what questions the CEO's, CFO's, Board of directors and shareholders would have to their Hi-Tech-Very-Well-Paid IT managers now that we know how easy it was to make the operation system of workstations much safer and so much cheaper to deploy and maintain.
